UNIVERSITY OF OREGON RESULTS
we did stunningly well folks.
we scored 230 nfc points! that is just amazing! another new record.
i'm guessing that carroll got about 315 points which is unbelievable.
the fact is: at the whitman tournament, we very seriously have a strong chance of beating carroll what with katie being back in action, todd and gabe participating, extemp and nfa ld being offered, and keola, julie and i have some surprises coming up that are going to give us that 85 point boost we need.

-----Original Message-----
thad and Charles are in the final round against Gonzaga LM
Beth and Emily dropped in quarters to Gonz. LM.
I had a perfect record, judging every round correctly.
Jim fed us well. Brian was coachly.
If you see a CEDA debater, give them a pat on the back, they did well at
their first tourney!! (despite my constant attempt to distract
them...hehehe)
Keola
brian and michael and joey and dave lost on 2-1 decisions in octas. dang it!
we now go to quarters tomorrow.
jim :)
we have four teams (out of 11 total) in elims.
emily and beth are 6-0
thad and i are 5-1
we got byes into the quarters
brian and mike were 5-1 and should have gotten a bye into quarters except
weird bracket breaking got in the way.
dave and joey were 4-2 and are debating in the partial octos.
beth was 8th speaker
emily c. was 7th
brian was 6th
thad was 3rd
i was 1st
they didn't give me one of those sweet signed basketballs, though,
unfortunately.

Jessica and Charles place 5th! Emily and Thad knock off a first round team as they go 7-1 in prelims and take 17th place. Scott and Nicholas and Brian and Brian were each one win away from elimination rounds. We're so proud of all of our debaters as our squad finishes 3rd at CEDA Nationals!
OPEN CEDA

Emily and Thad - 17th
Jessica - 6th speaker
NPDA National Championship
In the cold of Omaha, Nebraska, our parli debaters had a good showing to round out the year. With two teams in elimination rounds and two teams one win away from elimination rounds, we place 10th as a squad at NPDA Nationals!
OPEN PARLI
Brant and Keola - 33rd
Brian and Denice - 33rd
National Debate Tournament
This is the toughest tournament of the year. Jessica and Charles entered with a first round bid and went on to prove just how much they deserved to be there. This is Jessica's last tournament as a debater. Congratulations on a year well done!
OPEN CEDA
Jessica and Charles - 17th
