Hello! I am a graduate of Harvard College and Columbia University. Just as important to my training has been study at the University of Cairo and Damascus University. In 2001-2 my courses include Introduction to Islam, The Hebrew Bible and Ancient Judaism, and Interpretations of the Qur'an. In future years, I will be teaching Introduction to Judaism, a course about the relationship between Islam and Judaism, and a course on Islamic and Jewish thought. My dissertation and recent publications have examined the role of science and philosophy in religious texts.
