Lighting Cages -- Plan View
That's where we keep the electricians.

Light Cage
As you may have already guessed, this is where we keep the lights when they're not in use. Haper Joy has a wide range of instrument styles, brands, and ages. We have 240 instruments, consisting mainly of mini elipses, 6x12's, 6x9's, par 64's, source fours, and fresnels.

Electrics Cage
This is the second lighting cage, which we use for instrument repair and gel and lamp storage. As seen here, electrics is another field in which students can work for the theatre.

Mainstage Lighting Positions
There are a number of lighting angles in the mainstage theatre. All lighting positions are easily accessible from the grid or from the stage.

Mainstage Booth
There are 96-2.4 K dimmers in the mainstage, with a dimmer per circuit lighting system. The booth uses a Colortran Encore XL control board, that has a 512 dimmer capacity with 48 submasters, and 600 cues possible per show. The board also allows for advanced cue sequencing features such as links, follows, and subroutines, allowing for easy show operation.

Blackbox Booth
The blackbox has 36 dimmers controled by an ETI lighting control console. The board has six subs with programming features such as links to other cues, and a small hamster wheel in the back for continued operation in case of a power outage.

Student Employment
As seen here, electrics is another field in which students can work for the theatre. They hang and strike the lights for the shows, repair broken instruments, and have complete control over whether or not we can see a show opening night.
