President's Scholarship in Theatre

If you have exceptional talent, experience, and demonstrated skills in theatre and intend to make a strong contribution to the theatre program during your four years at Whitman, the College invites you to apply for a President's Scholarship in Theatre.

President's Scholarships are awarded to entering students in recognition of exceptional talent. Students may qualify for a President's Scholarship in any of the following talent categories: academic, art, debate, or theatre. Scholarships in the program meet all of the student 's demonstrated need when combined with other scholarships or grants from any other sources and vary from $2,500 to $30,000 per year (according to need). President 's Scholarships for students without need will be $2,500. Financial need is determined by the Office of Financial Aid Services using data from both the FAFSA and the CSS Profile.

The Theatre Department will be interviewing candidates for the Presidential Scholarship on campus, Saturday, March 7, 2009. In fairness to all applicants, no other interview dates will be allowed.
