Author's Conlusions



After researching all of the topics covered at this site, I have come to the personal conclusion that marijuana has been shown to be a safe and effective medicine. I am disgusted that in a country as great as the United States sick people cannot legally obtain the medicine that they need. It has been said that legalizing marijuana for medical usage would send the wrong message to the youth of America at this critical stage of the "War on Drugs." I am convinced that is not the case. The lies that we have been told about the evils of marijuana are currently being exposed by media as the issue of its medical usage has become a politically hot topic. The message that is being sent to our children is that we are a stubborn and malicious nation that is too afraid to admit prior mistakes and would rather see our citezens suffer than right our wrongs. I am convinced that our nation is comprised of wiser and kinder people than that. As the truth about medical marijuana is exposed, the American public will insist on its reclassification to a Schedule 2 drug. I hope that this site has convinced you of the validity of marijuana as medicine and provided you with the necessary information to be an effective crusader for its reclassification. Do not be satisfied with the knowledge you now posess. Spread the word that there are Americans that are sick and suffering and there is something that can be done to ease their pain. Marijuana holds a certain stigma in our culture, but do not let that stifle you. There is no need to "incriminate" yourself while advocating legalizing marijuana for sick people. You are not (necessarily) a hippy dope fiend trying to "Like legalize the herb, man." You are a concerned and caring person that would rather see sick people feel better than send them to jail for seeking the medicine that they need. Now quit sitting in front of your computer and go convince someone else that marijuana is medicine and it must be legally availible to those in need!
