IFSA Butler: Glasgow School of Art

Serious studio art students who attend the Glasgow School of Art can expect to spend 25-35 hours a week working in a studio in the historic Mackintosh Building in the vibrant city of Glasgow, Scotland.

Eligibility:

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, strong interest and experience in studio art, the
abililty to work independently.  Admission is selective.

Semesters Offered:

Fall, Spring, Academic Year

Calendar:

September-December; January-June

Credits:

Traditional "classes" are not offered at the Glasgow School of Art.  Students enroll
in a specific year of study (1-4) in a department in one of the Glasgow School of Art schools.

Credit Conversion:

1 IFSA Butler credit = 1 Whitman credit

Housing:

GSA Student residences close to campus with individual rooms and shared cooking facilities.
Some students live in University of Glasgow halls of residence.

Meals:

Students in all housing purchase or prepare their own meals.
