IFSA: Glasgow School of Art Partnership
Through IFSA, Whitman students may enroll in the Glasgow School of Art in Glasgow, Scotland. Glasgow is a vibrant city with a population of 650,000. It is home to the national Scottish companies of ballet, opera, orchestra and chorus. It offers two repertory theatres, the Glasgow Film Theatre, galleries and museums. Serious studio art students who attend the IFSA-Butler: Glasgow School of Art can expect to spend 30-35 hours a week in the studio working on independent projects under faculty supervision.
“The Glasgow School of Art is a well-known and prestigious art school that is dramatically different from Whitman. You will have a ton of time to create art and meet other artists. If you are serious about art, this is a good place to be. Scotland is beautiful and Glasgow is grungy and fun.” - Eric R. ‘18
