Safety Committee

Whitman College has formed an employee safety committee as directed by WAC 296-800-13020, to help employees and management work together to identify safety problems. Committee duties include, review of safety and health inspection reports to help correct safety hazards, evaluating accident investigations to determine if the cause(s) of the unsafe situation was identified and corrected, evaluating the workplace accident and illness prevention program and discuss recommendations for improvement if needed.  The committee is made up of employee selected representatives and employer selected representatives.
