Holton-Burke Reaches 100 Wins, Earns Weekly Tennis Award
WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Senior tennis ace Conor Holton-Burke, who won four times last weekend at the top of the Whitman College singles and doubles ladders, has been named Northwest Conference Student Athlete of the Week for men's tennis.

Holton-Burke, the reigning NWC Player of the Year, led Whitman to a pair of victories, extending its six-year string of regular season conference victories to 81.
By winning twice at No. 1 singles and twice at No. 1 doubles, Holton-Burke became the 16th player in the history of Whitman tennis to reach 100 career victories.
One of his victories last weekend was a 6-4, 6-3 singles win over Pacific Lutheran's Zach AhYat, one of the top players in the conference.
Holton-Burke also teamed with junior Matt Tesmond for an 8-6 victory over AhYat and Taylor Dickey in the top doubles slot.
Holton-Burke's victories against Puget Sound includes a 6-2, 6-1 singles win over Michael Cutter. He and freshman Colton Malesovas cruised to an 8-2 victory at No. 2 doubles.
Holton-Burke won the NWC's weekly award twice during his junior season, when he led Whitman to a fourth-straight NWC championship.
He started this season with a No. 29 national ranking in singles at the NCAA Division III level.
He and his teammates are 3-0 in the NWC and 7-0 against NCAA DIII teams. Whitman's overall record is 7-3.
