An estimated 20 percent of American adults suffer from post-traumatic stress at some point in their lives, including survivors of everything from car crashes to hurricanes to sexual assault. With a mix of statistics and personal histories-her own and others'-Mother Jones reporter Mac McClelland will describe the manifestations of trauma in our society, talk about how we as a culture cope with PTSD and explore what our national ignorance of this widespread condition costs.Mac is the award-winning human rights reporter at Mother Jones magazine. 

Bio: Mac McClelland is the award-winning human rights reporter at Mother Jones magazine.
