Andries Fouries

Andries Fourie is a native of South Africa. He is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. His work and research deal with the intersection of art, culture and identity in a South African context, and he has lectured, exhibited and conducted workshops in South Africa, Canada, Namibia, Kenya, and the United States. Fourie is primarily a mixed-media sculptor, who includes elements of painting, installation, performance and printmaking in his work.
