Brien Sheedy, director of Whitman's Outdoor Program, recently co-led a successful skiing expedition in Antarctica. The trip commenced in early January, and skiers reached the last degree of latitude at the South Pole in just over a week. Sheedy then returned to Union Glacier base camp for two nights before flying to Vinson Base Camp to guide a team of seven to the summit of Mount Vinson, the highest point in Antarctica. In this multimedia presentation, Sheedy will discuss his experience leading a group of skiers to the last degree of latitude at the South Pole and summiting Vinson Massif.
