A 1989 graduate of Whitman College, Jonathan Sposato is chairman of Geekwire LLC, a news site that reports on the technology industry and its people, from Fortune 500 companies to garage start-ups. His professional resume includes founding and/or leading several technology companies, including Picnik.com, Phatbits, and Manley Games. He also worked for Microsoft and Microsoft Game Studios. 

As a Whitman student, Sposato majored in politics and played lacrosse. Originally from London, he has lived in Hong Kong and Edmonds, Wash., and currently resides in Seattle. 

His presentation will explore the themes of scaling internet business to millions of users while hiring strong teams and maintaining the correct balance for gender appeal of end-user facing products. Learn more about Sposato at his Vizify page

The William M. Allen-Boeing Endowment funds campus visits by outstanding corporate leaders. The endowment was established by Grant '50 and Nancy Allen Silvernale' 56 and Nat '55 and Dorothy Allen Penrose. Nancy Silvernale and Dorothy Penrose are daughters of William Allen, a former Boeing CEO.
