About Dr. Fitzhugh...

Dr. William Fitzhugh, Director of the Arctic Studies Center, is an anthropologist specializing in circumpolar archeology, ethnology and environmental studies. Dr. Fitzhugh has also has worked extensively in central Asia studying the Mongols, and in Labrador and Quebec.

His most recent books include "Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire" (with two co-authors, 2013) and  "Vikings: The North Atlantic Saga" (one co-author, 2000).
