The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Whitman College
invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant
Professor level beginning August 2009.
A Ph.D. in statistics or a Ph.D. in mathematics with an emphasis on
operations research is required. Ideally, candidates will have some
expertise in both areas (statistics and operations research) and will
be able to contribute to our Applied Mathematics major.
Responsibilities include three courses per semester, comprising
introductory courses as well as advanced courses in the successful
candidate’s area of specialty.
