Whitman Collection

Alan Weltzien, ’74, is the editor of The Literary Art and Activism of Rick Bass, published by the University of Utah Press (2001). The book is the first comprehensive collection of literary criticism to address the work of Bass, a prominent and prolific author, activist, and artist. The 15 contri-butors offer diverse perspectives on the development of social, political, and personal issues in Bass’s fiction and nonfiction. Weltzien is professor of English at Western Montana College of the University of Montana. He lives in Dillon.
