tom powers-music director

Tom Powers has been in all sorts of movies, including Machine Gun Kelly, Gang War, the Magnificent Seven, Cold Sweat, and Death Wishes one through five. He is perhaps most notably the pro-alcohol villain in 1930's The Public Enemy, played by James Cagney, of all juicers. He's made it to number fifteen in AFI's 100 Heroes and Villains list, thankfully. What a juicer.

As Music Director at KWCW, he is in charge of -

  • Reviewing new CDs received by KWCW
  • Chasing around feral cats with his large, flat feet
  • Yelling at Mummy for stealing copious amounts of his Sharp Cheddar
  • Choosing new rotation CDs, which DJs are required to play, providing reviews and adding them to the Musicat Database.
  • Communicating with record labels and promotional companies to acquire new music
  • Managing genre directors
  • Reporting playlists to the College Music Journal
  • When possible, working to arrange performances by touring bands at Whitman
  • Getting shellacked seminightly
