The Whitman College Heritage Society was established to recognize individuals who have named Whitman as a beneficiary of their wills, trusts, retirement accounts, life insurance, and those who have established deferred gifts with the college.

Planned gifts like these contribute significantly to endowment, scholarships, operating funds, and a variety of academic and co-curricular programs each year. This type of gift provides financial stability for the college and helps to ensure that Whitman is able to continue meeting the challenges of providing a well-rounded liberal arts education.
