Remote sensing techniques for landslide detection: a comparative study between lidar imagery and photogrametric approaches

Ryan Gold, Class of 2003

Dept. of Geology, Whitman College, Walla Walla, WA 99362

This summer, I took part in an internship with Washington State's Division of Geology and Earth Resources. I worked with a Whitman alum, Karl Wegmann, and I conducted a comparitive study between lidar imagery and photogrametric approaches (the use of aerial photographs) to identify landslides on Hood Canal in Kitsap County, WA.
