September 20, 2003 - College Cabin
Eight brave members of FACE made the trek up to College Cabin on this fateful
day. It was a wonderful trip; good food, good conversation, and good snoring.
We talked about what feminism means to us, and issues such as abortion and
body image. Pictures will be uploaded soon.
October 15, 2003 - Love Your Body Day
This is a national celebration of yourself, regardless of what size or shape
you are. A few members stole into the dorms late at night and wrote lovely
messages on the mirrors in the public bathrooms, telling people how good they
did indeed look. FACE set up a table in the RCC and handed out stickers with
body positive affirmations on them, encouraging people to be comfortable with
themselves. Some favorites this year: "I'm hotter than Justin Timberlake";
"Walla Walla Sweet"; and the ever-popular "Bootylicious." Love Your Body Day
posters were also distributed around campus.
