Students will have the opportunity to use
the facilities in the Hunter Center for Communication Arts and Technology
to videotape practice presentations. An intern will be available
to critique the presentations and suggest ways to improve style,
and to some extent, content.
Specific services provided by the intern
will also include:
- How to overcome a fear of public speaking.
- How to construct an effectively organized
and audience oriented presentation.
- How to integrate technology and visual
aids into oral presentations.
- How to deal with answering questions.
- How to avoid poor non-verbal communication.
- The opportunity to practice in front of
a helpful and constructive audience.
The intern is located in 204 Hunter. Office
hours for fall 2000 will be announced at the beginning of the term.
