Coaches Background Checks Page |

MONDAY, OCT. 29, DEMONSTRATE YOU HAVE COMPLETED A BACKGROUND CHECK ON ALL YOUR
JUDGES AND COACHES
This is a hard deadline; you must have
this in to Whitman by Monday, Oct. 29 or those judges/coaches may not
participate in the tournament.
FROM WASHINGTON STATE?
------- An official from your school,
school district, law office, police department, or teacher certification board
besides the speech/debate coach(es)
needs to email Margret Aquino (aquinoma@whitman.edu) confirmation that a criminal
background check has been completed within the past three years on all coaches
and judges attending the Whitman tournament and that such checks revealed no
convictions.
-----Coaches or judges who have not had a
background check and who are not able to do so through your school, should
contact Margret Aquino (aquinoma@whitman.edu)
to do a background check over email for $39 (such judges will also sign papers
documenting the background check when they arrive at the tournament).
FROM OUTSIDE OF
WASHINGTON STATE?
------- An official from your school,
school district, law office, police department, or teacher certification board
besides the speech/debate coach(es)

and sign a state disclosure statement about any criminal background issues.
Complete this form and send it back to Margret (scanned to aguinoma@whitman.edu or faxed to 509-527-4960).
