Cordiner Hall is the main auditorium for the Whitman campus. The building
is used for commencement and convocation ceremonies, speeches, and general
concerts. Famous people, such as famous piano musician George Winston,
former Haiti President Jean Bertrand Aristide, and basketball legend
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar have graced Cordiner Hall within recent memory. The
auditorium's famous acoustics are highly popular with musicians of all
styles, ranging from alternative bands to the local Walla Walla symphony.
