Transfering Files Between Folders PC

Once you have created your netFiles folder (See Configuring PC Folders), you can transfer or copy files from other folders or drives, such as your My Documents folder, to netFiles.

  • Open the folder you wish to transfer files from by opening My Computer
  • Double click the folder or drive you want to transfer from (ex: My Documents).

Leave this folder open and open your netfiles folder.

  • Click Start
  • Click My Computer > My Network Places
    • For Vista/Windows 7, the path is Computer > Network Location
  • Double click the netFiles connection you created earlier when setting up netFiles Folders.

You now have two windows open, one is the folder you are transferring from (ex: My Documents) and the other is the netFiles folder.

  • Drag the file(s) or folder(s) from your transferring folder (ex: My Documents) and drop them in the netFiles Folder.

Once completed, all of your file(s) or folder(s) that you transferred are backed-up in netFiles. You can verify this by checking with netFiles Web.
