Opening an SSH Connection

Software for connecting to a server via SSH is available for almost every mainstream operating system. All of the machines in the computer labs have Telnet/SSH clients with easy-to-use graphical interfaces installed on them. Marcus and Students also have a special web page available that will let you open an SSH connection from any java-enabled web browser.

There are also various free software applications that you can download for your personal computer. And if you are using either Mac OSX or some flavor of Linux, you have the option of using nothing more than the command line.
