Networked color inkjet printing is available in Division Offices and main computer labs. You can print to all these locations from your office computer. Color laser printing is available (for nominal charge) in the Multimedia Development Lab. High-resolution/large-format (up to 42"wide) printing is available for a fee in the Multimedia Development Lab (Hunter 110).

All hardware is sufficient for general use, which would include email, web browsing, word processing, spreadsheets, powerpoint, basic image editing, etc. If your needs are more advanced or unusual, please let us know. We will work with you to meet your needs as much as possible.

In order to prepare for your arrival, we need the following information from you. You may send email to the address below, or (preferably) complete our online Technology Registration Form for Visiting Faculty:

  1. What type of computer you prefer (Mac vs PC)
  2. Your First Name, Last Name, and Middle Initial (used to formulate your email username)
  3. Your preferred name, if different than your first name
  4. How best to reach you during the summer
  5. Date you will arrive at Whitman
  6. Do you need your email account early? If so, when?
  7. Any special hardware or software needs
  8. Any questions you have

To tell us what type of computer you prefer and to fill us in on the above information - if you are unable to submit a registration form, please contact Shannon Callister, Director of I.T. Support Services. Email is best (callissb@whitman.edu), but she can also be reached by phone (509-527-4948).
