Art Panel/Exhibition • Fouts Center for Visual Art (Exhibition Space)

Each year, Whitman’s studio art majors travel to New York for a week to visit the city’s myriad museums and galleries and to glimpse a thriving art scene. This year, the Art Department received a Teagle Grant to assess the New York trip in an exciting, creative way. Senior art majors used this grant to create a gallery show exploring the impact of the New York trip on their artistic sensibilities and practice. Nine seniors discuss the pieces they created for the exhibit and reflect on their experiences in New York.
