Combined they have coached numerous All-Americans, trained some of the top U.S. players (including Pete Sampras, Michael Chang, and Jim Courier), and guided their college programs to top national rankings. The tennis staff will guide you through instruction, practice and play on Whitman College's award winning tennis courts (4 indoors and 4 outdoor).
The wine tasting and meals have been selected by a local wine expert. Campers will have guided wine tastings, tours, lectures, and meals in Walla Walla. The wine tasting portion of the camp features chauffeured tastings, special dinners with wine makers, and catered meals. Greg Patton (Boise State University) is a world renowned tennis coach. He is one of the most sought after tennis clinicians in the country. He has guided his Broncos to the NCAA I tournament six of the past seven years. Under his guidance the BSU men's team reached a high ranking of #3 in the country. He is the only college coach to be named NCAA Coach of the Year with two different teams (UC Irvine and Boise State).
Jeff Northam (Whitman College) has developed the Whitman College men's team into one of the top NCAA III programs in the country. He has been named PNW/USTA Coach of the Year, Northwest Conference Coach of the Year three times, and ITA West Region Coach of the Year.
John Hein (Whitman College) was named Northwest Conference women's coach of the year in only his second year at Whitman. In his short time time at Whitman he has coached two All-American players and Whitman to the NWC tournament finals. Prior to his arrival at Whitman, Coach Hein worked for the Lawn Tennis Association in London.
