Juan Carlos Amy-Cordero joined the Eugene Ballet Company / Ballet Idaho in 2002 and
was promoted to Principal in 2007. Juan Carlos trained at the Boston
Ballet School from 1993-2001, where he danced in many Boston Ballet
productions under the direction of Anna-Marie Holmes. He also trained
at the San Francisco Ballet School in 2002. Juan Carlos has danced the
title role in The Nutcracker as well as the Sugarplum Cavalier, the
Blue Bird in The Sleepng Beauty, the Jester in Daniel Pelzig's The
Princess and the Pea, Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet, Puck in A Midsummer
Night's Dream, Michael in Bruce Stievel's Peter Pan, Toni Pimble's
Still Falls the Rain, and many other ballets by Toni Pimble as well as
other choreographers. Juan Carlos has also been a teacher at Boise
State University's Theatre Arts Department and has performed at Whitman
College with Summer Dance Lab for the past four seasons. Juan Carlos
has also traveled all over North America, the Caribbean, and Europe,
including Spain, France, Belgium, and Canada.
