Order of Waiilatpu
Established in 1919, membership is restricted to junior students who rank in the top third of their class. These students are recognized for their outstanding scholarship, enterprise, citizenship, and service to the College and community.

Phi Beta Kappa
The oldest national honorary fraternity established at Whitman College in 1919. Election is based on evidence of broad cultural interests and scholarly achievement in the liberal arts. Approximately ten percent of the senior class and one percent of the junior class are elected to membership annually.

Sigma Delta Pi
The national honorary Spanish fraternity established the Xi Nu chapter at Whitman in 1981. It is open to students who attain excellence in the study of Spanish language and in the study of the literature and culture of the Hispanic world.
