Whitman Student Historical Society

The Whitman Student Historical Society (WSHS) is an organization designed to work closely with the history department to promote and share the love of history.  The primary goals of WSHS include the following: to promote the history major to incoming students, to host guest lectures that would interest the history-savvy as well as the general study body, and to invigorate enthusiasm for historical scholarship.  Additionally the organization is designed to be an avenue for discussion of the history department itself and a voice in curriculum development, hiring new faculty, and other administrative decisions.
