Outdoor Program (OP) Rental Shop

The Outdoor Rental Shop is a student-owned outdoor cooperative that provides an outdoor gear rental service for Whitman students and the Walla Walla community.

Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm; 4:30 pm - 7 pm

Friday: 11:30 am - 5 pm 

Saturday: CLOSED

Sunday: 4:30 pm - 7 pm 

The Whitman College Outdoor Program is one of the largest of its kind for a small college and is supported by both the college and student government. Our main function is to assist people in their outdoor pursuits. Our goal is to offer safe and rewarding recreational experiences in addition to quality rental equipment in the fields of hiking, backpacking, climbing, kayaking, rafting, and skiing. Activities cater to novice, beginner, and intermediate skill levels. On campus we are active in organizing slide shows, instructional seminars, films, as well as credit and non-credit classes. The Outdoor Program also oversees the Sherwood Climbing Facility and freshmen Scrambles, week long outdoor adventures allowing freshmen the chance to get to know some of their new classmates and unwind before their first semester of college. Outdoor Program activities are open to anyone at anytime.
