KWCW

Description

KWCW, "The Voice of the Valley", is a student and community run, free-format radio station. We regularly report playlists to the College Music Journal (CMJ) and the Roots Music Report, and we are a member of IBS, the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System.

As a non-profit, ASWC funded broadcasting medium, it is KWCW's mission to:

a) Provide students and members of the greater Walla Walla community with the opportunity to develop skills working with the radio broadcasting medium by overwhelmingly prioritizing student and community produced programming

b) Emphasize new, independently produced, and/or non-mainstream music to educate and entertain listeners

c) Provide a forum for a plurality of viewpoints and voices

d) Encourage its volunteers to creatively explore different realms of broadcasting, be it call-in talk radio, radio drama, comedy, live performances, airing of audio collages/pastiches, field recording, etc.

Please contact for information on how to have your own radio show.
