Interfraternity Council (IFC)

Description

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is an executive committee comprised of representatives from each of the four fraternities on the Whitman campus. The goals of the IFC are as follows: to protect and exercise the fraternitities' right to meaningful self-governance, to ensure compliance with College regulations within the fraternity system, and to promite the Greek system in the best interest of its members and Whitman College. The IFC is also charged with representing the fraternity system to the faculty, staff and administration of the College and surrounding community in matters that affect the system as a whole. It shall also advocate on the system's behalf in interfraternity matters. The IFC works closely with the Panhellenic Council as well as members of Whitman College faculty and staff to create policies and activities that benefit the Green system, the campus, and the surrounding communities.
