Description The blue moon Editor is responsible for publishing the college literary magazine each May. He/she must solicit a wide range of creative material for publication, hire a staff (approximately 25 people), and secure magazine funding from Whitman administrative sources and Walla Walla businesses. The Editor is also responsible for managing the magazine staff, holding and preparing for staff meetings, organizing the magazine's advertising campaign, coordinating layout of the publication, and planning the final release party. The Editor should be open and flexible to new ideas, an excellent and efficient organizer, and be willing to devote significant time to the position. In addition, previous experience as a staff member of Blue Moon is highly recommended. The 2007-08 salary for the position of blue moon Editor is $800/year. The position is a year-long position. Campus Media Nominations Process: Campus Media Chief Officers are nominated by the Standing Nominations Committee in accordance with Article IX of the by-laws.
