Vanesa Vega Dorado studied English and Spanish, graduating from the University of Salamanca (Spain) in 2010. She stayed on to obtain her MA in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, and in the interim completed a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) from Trinity College, London. She has worked as an English teacher in Language School in Notthingham, UK, an examiner of Spanish official examinations for DELE at the Instituto Cervantes, and as a Spanish instructor in Cursos Internacionales for the University of Salamanca. Her main interests include applied linguistics and sociolinguistics, as well as the relationship between language and culture in 20th century America.
