Helen Kim is entering her fourth year at Whitman College where she teaches courses on social problems, race and ethnic relations, and Asian Americans. She also teaches in Race and Ethnic Relations and General Studies as an instructor of Critical and Alternative Voices. Helen moved to Walla Walla in 2005 after nine years of living in the Midwest with her husband, Noah Leavitt. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Helen now calls Walla Walla home and is ever-amazed by the town's beauty, long growing season and social dynamics.
