Residence Halls

All of the residence halls at Whitman College have rooms with a phone, free voice mail, free internet access, and furniture (including a bed, desk, and dresser, but varying slightly by hall). The residence halls all have a TV lounge, shared refrigerators, a bike storage room (usually in the basement), and a free laundry room. All residence halls have sprinkler systems for fire safety. Finally, smoking is not allowed in any residence halls or interest houses.

- 95% felt that living on campus was beneficial during their transition to college
- 96% felt that living on campus contributed positively to their educational experience at Whitman
- 92% said that overall they were satisfied with their residence life experience
- 99% either agreed or strongly agreed with the statement "I feel secure living in campus housing."
