Time		Anticipated Schedule of Events for Friday, October 23, 2009
		All Family Weekend events and activities are completely optional. There are no required events. The most important thing to do is spend some quality time with your student.
3:00-7:00 PM		Information & sign-in table will be open in the Reid Campus Center Foyer. Pick up a printed schedule of Family Weekend Events and tickets for the evening's performance of Theatresports.
3:00 PM		Whitman Cookie Contest. Have a secret family cookie recipe? Bake up a batch and enter Whitman's first ever Cookie Contest! Email spevents@whitman.edu to pre-register. Reid Campus Center, Coffeehouse.
4:00 – 5:00 PM		"Fridays at Four" Recital series peresnts: "The Eustis Jazz Group". Chism Recital Hall.
4:30-6:30 PM		Parent/Faculty Social. Mingle with some faculty members from a variety of departments. This event is for parents only. Wine, beer and other refreshments will be served. Baker Faculty Center.
5:00 – 6:00 PM		Hillel-Shalom hosts "Fridays at 5 Family Shabbat" Spiritual Activites Room, Prentiss Hall Basement, Room 10.
5:30 PM		Sheehan Gallery Exhibition: "The Art of Collecting: The Work of Emile Lahner from the Collection of Mr. & Mrs. John A. Peterson" 5:30 p.m. in Olin 130. Reception to follow in the Sheehan Gallery.
5:30 – 7:00 PM		Dinner in Prentiss Dining Hall. Family members are invited to enjoy their student's dining experience ($11.50 adult / $6 children 6-12 / free for children 5 and under).
7:00 PM		Women's Volleyball hosts Lewis and Clark. Sherwood Center.
7:00 – 9:00 PM		Whitman Sampler Concert. Enjoy a variety of performances by the Music Department's talented student ensembles. Cordiner Hall.
8:00 – 10:45 PM		Harper Joy Theatre presents: Romeo and Juliet. Tickets: $12 adults/$8 students & seniors/Whitman students free with season pass. To make reservations, or for more information, call the Box Office at 509-527-5180.
9:00 – 11:00 PM		Coffeehouse Concert, featuring Ranger Sciacca ('09) and his band, Ranger Swings. Coffeehouse, Reid Campus Center.
10:00 – 11:00 PM		Theatresports. A performance by Whitman's premier improvisation group. Pick up free tickets for this event in advance at the sign-in table at the Reid Campus Center. Performance helded in Maxey.
