    All Family Weekend events and activities are completely optional. There are no required events. The most important thing to do is spend some quality time with your student.
3:00-7:00 PM
  Information & sign-in table will be open in the Reid Campus Center Foyer. Pick up a printed schedule of Family Weekend Events, a Parent's Directory and tickets for the evening's performance of Theatresports.
3:00-5:00 PM
  Sheehan Gallery Artist Talk and Exhibition. Charles Timm-Ballard, Associate Professor of Art, will talk about his exhibition "Crushing Weights". The lecture will take place in Olin 130.
4:00 – 4:45 PM
  "Fridays at Four" musical performance of scenes from the opera Cosi Fan Tutte. Chism Hall, Hall of Music.
4:30 PM
  "The Genesis of Soaring Stones #4 and other Sculpture 1976-2007" artist talk and dedication ceremony. John T Young, Professor of Sculpture and Public Art at the University of Washington will give a talk in Olin 157 followed by a dedication of the sculpture on the Cordiner side lawn.
4:30-6:30 PM
  Parent/Faculty Social. Mingle with faculty members from a variety of departments. This event is for parents only. Baker Faculty Center.
5:00 – 6:00 PM  

Hillel-Shalom hosts "Fridays at 5 Family Shabbat" Spiritual Activites Room, Prentiss Hall room 10.

5:30 – 7:00 PM  

Dinner in Prentiss Dining Hall. Family members are invited to enjoy their student's dining experience ($11 adult / $7 children 5-12 / free for children 4 and under).

  Women's Volleyball hosts Linfield College. Sherwood Center.
7:00 – 9:00 PM   Whitman Sampler. Enjoy a variety of performances by the Music Department's talented student ensembles. Cordiner Hall.
7:00-9:30 PM
  Whitman Direct Action (a student activist organization) invites you to a silent auction and raffle. Enjoy great prizes, yummy dessert, live music, and entertainment while supporting our "Safe and Sustainable Clean Water" project. Reid Campus Center, Young Ballroom.

  Cinema Arts Series presents: An Unreasonable Man. Hunter 212-Kimball Auditorium
