The Reid Campus Center art program features a Whitman College student, faculty or staff member each month. Shows are hung in the Stevens Gallery, located on the first floor. The unique aspect of this program is that it is not limited to art students or art professors. We seek out artists from diverse backgrounds who create in a variety of mediums.
Sponsored by the Student Activities Office, the Arts and Crafts series features a different craft each month. Past programs have included knitting, stamping, book-making, flower pressing and flower arranging. All members of the Whitman community are invited to participate in these programs.
The Campus Activity Board is a committee of students and staff that sponsors a variety of arts and entertainment programs for the campus. For more information about the Campus Activities Board, please contact the Director of Student Activities who advises the group.
Coffeehouse is a weekly Friday night musical program from 9:00 - 11:00 PM that primarily features the musical talents of Whitman students. Performers play music and sing from a range of musical styles. If you are interested in performing at Coffeehouse, please contact the Director of Student Activities.
Each month, the Student Activities Offices sponsors Saturday night programs that are fun and interactive. Past programs in the Saturday night series have included indoor miniature golf, bingo, concerts, films, 3-D movies, and break dancing.
