Spring orientation is a 5-day program which focuses on advising and registering for classes, meeting and socializing with the other new January students, getting acclimated to Walla Walla, and having fun. During December, you will receive a mailing which contains important registration information, medical history/physical exam forms, meal plan information, and much more. Please open this mailing as soon as it arrives and review the information. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at orientation@whitman.edu.

The December Orientation Packet, which is posted the second week of December, also includes instructions on how to complete the following tasks, which we ask that you complete as soon as possible once you receive this packet:

Styx

By January 9th we ask that you:

  • Complete the Medical History/Physical Examination Form and return it to the Health Center
  • Return the Insurance Enrollment or Waiver Card to the Health Center
  • Return the Orientation RSVP Card

Each year a book is selected to serve as the winter reading assignment. This book is then included in the December Orientation Packet. During the spring orientation period, new students will meet to discuss the winter reading assignment.
