Volleyball loses tight match against Carleton

Walla Walla, Wash. - At the Elmhurst Invitational against Carleton College, Whitman narrowly lost the first three sets, 25-22, 25-18, and 25-23.
Sophomore Jazmin Moledina posted her best game of this young season with nine kills. Moledina led all players with a huge .429 hitting percentage. Whitman's front line was the driving force during the match as the team put up 35 blocks, 30 of them assisted. Olivia Nielson and Franny Gardner led the Missionaries with nine blocks a piece. Senior Rachel Shober contributed two service aces and 11 digs in the Whitman effort.
On Saturday, Whitman will take on Albion College at 9am and John Carroll University at 1pm local time.
