Former Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker ’71 interviewed on TVW June 11
TVW’s Inside Olympia TV viewers got an inside look at the recent history of the Middle East, when host Austin Jenkins interviewed Ryan Crocker ‘71, a Spokane native and Whitman College alumnus, who spent three decades working for the State Department in the Middle East and until February was the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq.
Crocker was born in Spokane, graduated from Whitman College in 1971, and joined the U.S. State Department that same year. Before his Iraq appointment Crocker served as U.S.Ambassador to Pakistan (2004-2007), Syria (1998-2001), Kuwait (1994-1997) and Lebanon (1990-1993), besides other diplomatic posts in the Middle East and elsewhere.
TVW, often called the Washington state version of C-SPAN, provides unedited gavel-to-gavel television coverage of the Washington State Legislature, Supreme Court, executive branch, state boards and commissions, elections, and public policy events. The network provides in-depth coverage of public affairs and politics through its weekly programs Inside Olympia and The Impact.
