Watson recipient Aisha Fukushima ’09 featured in international media

As her Watson Fellowship-sponsored year of world travel to explore raptivism comes to an end, a story in the Bangalore Mirror, one of India’s largest news outlets, features Aisha Fukushima ’09. In the story she shares highlights from her research on the hip-hop culture around the world and how it relates to activism.
She also shares a little about how she herself may be perceived around the world: “In Senegal, I was too white. In Morocco I was too black. In UK, I was Asian and in Denmark, nothing matters…”
