WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The Whitman College baseball program is hosting a Spring Training Camp for players from the ages of eight to 18.
The camp takes place at Borleske Stadium from Monday, March 22, through Thursday, March 25. The hours each day are 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The camp is designed to help players get ready for their spring and summer seasons. Current and former Whitman coaches and players will instruct campers on the fundamentals of baseball.
Activities each day of the camp include stretching and running progression, throwing progression, offensive stations, and position-specific defensive positions.

| Holowaty |
The camp staff includes:
Jared Holowaty, the first-year head coach at Whitman, heads the camp staff. Holowaty earned all-conference and all-region honors as an outfielder at Eastern Connecticut State University, where he captained the 2002 NCAA Div. III national championship team. His previous experience includes a stint as an assistant coach at NCAA Div. I University of Maine.

| Michaud |
Mark Michaud, Jr., an assistant coach at Whitman, is the camp director. He was an assistant coach at Eastern Connecticut when it won the NCAA Div. III national titles in 1998 and 2002. He also served previously as an assistant coach with Division I programs at Siena College and Maine.
This summer Michaud will be the pitching coach for the Walla Walla Sweets, a West Coast League expansion franchise set to play its first season this summer at Borleske Stadium. The WCL, which has nine teams scattered around the Northwest, focuses on developing college players for professional baseball.

| Kinney |
Sean Kinney, a Whitman assistant coach. He was a two-time First-Team All-Conference outfielder at Whitman. During the summer months, he coaches the Bend Elks in the West Coast Baseball League.
