WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- This Friday is "Bring a Girl to the Game Day" as Whitman College hosts Linfield College for women's and men's basketball games in Sherwood Center.

Admission to the Northwest Conference games is free to all families who bring at least one girl to the court. Whitman's annual "Bring a Girl to the Game Day" is held in celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

The women's game starts at 6 p.m. Friday. The men's games follows at about 8 p.m.

All girls will also receive a raffle ticket at the door for prize drawings to be held that night.

The Prospect Point Elementary School's jump-roping team will provide the halftime entertainment for the women's game.

Two more Northwest Conference games are set for Saturday night at Sherwood Center. Whitman hosts Willamette University with the women's game starting at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.
