Jackie Wood, Senior Lecturer of Music at Whitman College is an active musician with an emphasis in teaching and performance.  She is particularly fond of performing chamber music, four-hand and two-piano literature, as well as solo repertoire.  A faculty member since 1987 in the Department of Music at Whitman College, Ms. Wood has also served on the faculty of Washington State University from which she received her Masters of Music in piano performance.  She has concertized in New York, Seattle, Texas, Japan and throughout the Pacific Northwest and has performed frequently with noted pianist, Lee D. Thompson.  Additionally, Ms. Wood has often served as adjudicator for many young pianists in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.  She has broad experience in the performance of musical theater and opera, and serves as a staff pianist for the long-established Summer Dance Lab at Whitman College, a summer intensive for pre-professional dancers.
