W Club Golf Tourney: Friday, Sept. 14, 2012

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The W Club, a group dedicated to enhancing excellence in varsity athletics at Whitman College, has slated its annual golf tournament for Friday, Sept. 14, 2012

The Third Annual W Club Golf Tournament will be played at the Walla Walla Country Club.

Tournament activities start at 11:30 a.m. with registration and a boxed lunch. The driving range will open at that time as well.

A shotgun start is set for 1 p.m. with each foursome following a scramble format.

Dinner (wine included) will follow at 6 p.m. in the Sherwood Center Hall of Fame Foyer on the Whitman campus.

The registration cost is $175 per person with the field limited to 120 players. Golfers can register as individuals or as foursomes.

Registration includes green fees, cart, practice range, boxed lunch and dinner. All proceeds will benefit the varsity athletic programs at Whitman.

Persons not wanting to play golf that day are welcome at the post-tournament dinner at a cost of $35 for person.
