Insurance

The college has a hard-waiver policy which requires all students to be covered by accident and illness health insurance. Information regarding private insurance must be updated each academic year. See student’s CLEo account to complete information. Remember to provide student with an insurance card and educate them on insurance coverage.

To purchase or waive insurance information in CLEo:
  • Log on to CLEo at https://cleo.whitman.edu
  • Once logged in, click on "Quack" in the left-hand menu
  • Halfway down the page is a "Pre-registration Checklist" section
  • Click the "Continue" button to begin the pre-registration process, which includes the insurance information form.

If the student does not have private health insurance, Whitman offers a contracted health insurance policy through Wells-Fargo insurance company. Full information regarding this policy may be found in the Student Health Insurance Brochure. Purchase this option on the student’s CLEo account.

If no private coverage is indicated on the CLEo form it will be understood the student will purchase the basic Student Group policy provided by Whitman College and the student’s account will be billed accordingly.
