Tau Kappa Epsilon is the largest fraternity in the world, with nearly 300 active chapters. At Whitman College, the TKE chapter has over 60 active members. From varsity athletes and captains, to singers and actors, to climbers and kayakers, to hippies and hoopaholics, to outdoorsmen and student government officers, and from biochemistry to fine arts majors, TKE represents diversity and excellence in many areas. TKE intramural teams routinely win coveted blue shirts, including TKE 1 football, which has nearly monopolized the upper division for over a decade, and the Wookies, our ultimate frisbee team, which is looking for its fourth straight blue shirt season this spring. Along with participating in so many extra curricular activities, the men of TKE work hard to maintain their high cumulative GPA. TKE also sponsors two large philanthropy events each year including the all-campus blood drive for the American Red Cross and a Thanksgiving dinner that feeds over 200 of Walla Walla's elderly citizens.
